Express Shipping – Delivered Overnight Instead of Days in Transit

Express shipping runs through our freight network with fixed pickup and delivery slots: your shipment is prioritised over standard freight and normally arrives on the next business day. A direct transport is a dedicated vehicle for your shipment only – no transshipment, no network schedules, departure right after booking. Rule of thumb: express shipping is the fastest network option and considerably cheaper. A direct transport is the fastest option overall and pays off when hours matter or when the goods must not be handled in a hub.

A fixed cut-off applies only to groupage consignments: there the order has to be placed by 4 pm and the consignment ready for collection the same day. For all other consignment types there is no blanket cut-off time – what counts is the pickup and delivery date the price calculator shows after you enter both postcodes. That date is binding. Orders arriving later can often still be solved as a direct transport.

Yes. For pallets we offer premium overnight shipping: collection on the day of booking, delivery on the next business day. Oversized and long goods can also travel express, but here the dimensions decide the option – very large or non-stackable shipments are usually faster and often cheaper as a direct transport. The surcharge depends on weight, dimensions and distance and sits noticeably above the economy rate depending on the route. We deliberately avoid quoting a flat multiplier, because it works out differently on short runs than on nationwide transports. In the price calculator you see the economy and the express price for your actual shipment side by side and decide with both figures in front of you.

You are informed as soon as a deviation becomes apparent – not only when you ask. If you need a binding commitment with a refund arrangement for a specific date, the scheduled delivery product is the right fit: there, delivery within the agreed time window is guaranteed and the surcharge is refunded if we cause the delay. Express shipping prioritises your shipment in the network, but it does not replace a delivery guarantee.

Yes. Express transit times of one to two business days are common to neighbouring EU countries, correspondingly longer for more distant destinations. For shipments to non-EU countries customs clearance is added, which affects the schedule independently of transport speed. For time-critical international shipments we recommend a short call with our team so that customs documents do not slow the transport down.
