May batteries be shipped by freight forwarder?
Yes, batteries may be shipped by freight forwarder – however, strict ADR regulations (hazardous goods class 9) apply depending on type and capacity. NexCargo handles the correct declaration and ensures all regulations are met.
What must I observe when packaging batteries?
Batteries must be transported in UN-certified packaging. Poles must be covered or insulated to prevent short circuits. Lithium batteries with more than 100 Wh additionally require hazardous goods labels. We are happy to advise you on correct packaging.
Which battery types can be shipped?
We transport lead-gel batteries, AGM batteries, lithium primary cells (UN 3090), lithium-ion batteries (UN 3480) and industrial batteries for forklifts, UPS systems and solar storage. For very large capacities (over 300 Wh) please contact us in advance.
How long does battery transport take?
Standard transit time is 1–3 business days within Germany. Pickup takes place on the next business day after booking. For time-critical deliveries we offer scheduled deliveries and direct runs.
How much does battery shipping cost?
