Frequently Asked Questions about Ship Electronics

Is electronics transported ESD-compliant (electrostatically protected)?
ESD protective packaging or antistatic packaging can be provided on request. For sensitive circuit boards, server hardware and control electronics we recommend ESD film and foam with antistatic equipment.
How are vibrations minimised during electronics transport?
Electronics should be packaged in original packaging with moulded foam inserts or alternatively in double cardboard with at least 10 cm padding material on each side. Shock protection is crucial.
Can server racks and 19-inch systems also be shipped?
Yes, server racks and 19-inch systems are transported on pallets standing or lying (depending on manufacturer recommendation). Hard drives secured before transport and drives locked?
What should be noted for insurance of high-value electronics?
Basic insurance covers up to €750 – definitely book extended transport insurance for electronics worth several thousand euros. Declare the goods value at checkout.
Are monitors and screens transported as well?
Yes, monitors, large screens and display devices are transported with special padding. Original packaging is optimal – alternatively standing in sturdy cardboard with foam on all sides.
